MS062026CD, sortie d’album 30 octobre 2026.
Michel Pastre – Scott Hamilton – Harry Allen (saxophone ténor) – Philippe Milanta (piano) – Bruno Rousselet (contrebasse) – Philippe Maniez (drums).
The Three Swinging Tenors is a tenor summit conceived by saxophonist Michel Pastre, bringing together two of the world’s most acclaimed American tenor saxophonists, Scott Hamilton and Harry Allen.
The project draws inspiration in particular from the legendary Texas Tenors—Illinois Jacquet, Arnett Cobb and Buddy Tate—a celebrated group of which Scott Hamilton was also a member during the 1980s.
More than a tribute, however, this project offers a unique opportunity to experience these three outstanding saxophonists, whose musical worlds naturally converge, performing together on the same stage, supported by an exceptional rhythm section: Philippe Milanta (piano), Bruno Rousselet (double bass) and Philippe Maniez (drums).
The March 2026 tour was met with tremendous enthusiasm, enjoying remarkable success with audiences wherever it performed.
Fortunately, two live concerts were professionally recorded, in Tarnos and Paris, making it possible to produce this album.
